On Wednesday July 6, The Russian American Kids Circus performed in the Amphitheater as the evening's entertainment. They are a group of children aged 6-16 from Brooklyn, NY. Earlier that day, they spent three hours with us at Boys and Girls Club, performing for many of our groups of campers. They demonstrated many different circus activities such as juggling, unicycle, and walking on a large ball, and explained to us how each skill is mastered. Some of our campers were given the opportunity to give it a try. They quickly found out that these circus acts are much more difficult than it might appear. But our campers were given a valuable lesson: that even though something may be difficult to do, it can still be accomplished with hard work.

Check out the photos and videos below of the Circus troupe performing and some of our campers(and counselors) giving it a try.
